Description |
Rectangular wooden box with 3 metal hinges at back and key lock at front. Metal plate for inscription on lid is blank. Blue velvet lining faded to green. 2004.149.01.02: snub-nosed serrated edged saw. ebony handle with areas of cross-hatching. 2004.149.01.03: metal shaft and serrated drill bit. Screw cap at top. Screw controls perforator. 2004.149.01.04: squared middle. Rounded ends. 2004.149.01.05: Double-edged saw with one flat edge and one rounded edge. Cross-hatched ebony handle. 2004.149.01.06: rectangular velvet covered lid partition. Ivory knob. Velvet has geometric pattern. 2004.149.01.07: Long narrow single edged knife with cross-hatched ebony handle. 2004.149.01.08: Double-edged blade with cross-hatched ebony handle. 2004.149.01.09: Single-edged. Cross hatched ebony handle. 2004.149.01.10: Serrated edge. Cross-hatched ebony handle. 2004.149.01.11: Flat ebony handle. Curved hook of metal with eye near end. 2004.149.01.12: Metal tool. One end is serrated, other had spikes which have torn away. Finger grip in middle. 2004.149.01.13: Screw compression. Red and white striped strap. 2004.149.01.14: Tan piece of paper folded up. 2004.149.01.15: White string wrapped around 2004.149.01.14 2004.149.01.16: black ebony piece, square base with two holes drilled through, one of which cuts across the top of the piece. PATENT carved? into side of the piece. 2004.149.01.17: velvet covered wood.
