Description |
Clear glass syringe with cork at the top of the plunger and white thread wrapped around the base of it. The opposite end of the syringe contains five holes in the glass to allow fluids to pass in and out of the barrel. |

Belonged to the great aunt of donor, Emma Mary Fallis (nee Bourne) who lived from 1868 to 1959, passing away at age 91. These instruments and medications may date to 1896 (when Mary's sister Alice died of heart disease) or 1921 (when her sister Annie died of heart disease). Mary's daughter was the wife of Dr. C. L. Stratchan of London (dentist) and Mary spent much of her later years in London. |
