Description |
2013.02.12.01 A black Bakelite Photometer. Front has a metal toggle ON/OFF switch with a meter marked 0-100 and Central Scientific Co. Three art deco style raised lines run along the middle of the object. Top has four flathead screws and a dial that says "Adjust Zero" and logo for "Cenco" a discolored large screw cap is present on top as well as an opening for the insertion of the lens. Back has air vents and cored held bunched together with a twist tie. Inside compartment is a light bulb stamped "GE81 CANADA." Bottom of object fairly corroded and has four Bakelite feet as well as four flathead screws. Manufacturers plate and air vents also present. The plate is red and says "CENCO Sheard-Sanford Photelometer-Type C5 Trademark Reg US Pat Off Cat No. 41015 Ser No 124[faded] Central Scientific Co., Chicago, USA Trademark CENCO Reg. US Pat. Off. Volts [faded] Cycles [faded] US Patents No 2,051,317 and 2,051,320"; 2013.02.12.02 A black likely newer A/C Adapter. Possibly from 1980s. End of cord plugs into wire connecting to Photometer. Labeled "TENCO A/C Adapter Model 6300N Listed UL 771K SA LR34266 Input: 117v 60hz 5w Output 6v DC 300ma Mfd. by Sino-American 980 Made in Taiwan Caution Indoor Use Only SA-314"; 2013.02.12.03 Color lens for photometer. Three glases lenses colored Red, Yellow, and Blue. Encased in black Bakelite plastic.
