Seaborn obtained the model from Waugh's daughter. Edwin Seaborn (1872-1951) graduated from UWO in 1895, practised as a doctor in London, and was appointed Professor of Anatomy, UWO, from 1903-11. During World War One, commanded the 10th Stationary Hospital in France and in England. William Ebenezer Waugh, M.D., C.M. (1851-1936) was originally from London and apprenticed with Dr. Alexander Anderson filling prescriptions before attending McGill. He graduated in 1872, and in 1873 he took over Anderson's practice. He also worked at London General Hospital. In 1883 he joined the UWO Medical Faculty as Professor of General, Descriptive and Surgical Anatomy. He later became the Registrar and the Chair of Principles and Practice of Surgery in 1886, and the medical school bursar and Emeritus Professor of Surgery from 1913 to 1936. William Fuller was a student at McGill and was a friend of Waugh. Fuller later graduated from McGill and practised medicine in Michigan. |
